Microsoft Windows Azure virtual machines having a issues in the time synchronization between on premise domain controller or Azure domain controller, because Azure virtual machine takes time from virtual machines IC time provider. You have to disable this option from all the virtual machine.

To do this open regedit and go here

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\W32Time\TimeProviders\VMICTimeProvider

set the value of – Enabled – 0

VNICTimeProvider

 

then you have to open control panel as a administrator mode.

restart the w32time service (Command Prompt run as in administrator)

net stop w32time
net start w32time

Type below command for knowing the time server

w32tm /query /source
w32tm /resync /rediscover

If you want it do it workgroup virtual machine run the above command and do the below settings this is only for workgroup machine

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\W32Time\Parameters

NTPServer to FQDN of the domaincontroller,0x9 or IP Address of the domaincontroller,0x9
